Transformers Character List

It doesn't matter if you are young are old, the transformers have been a great source of entertainment for years. I remember the cartoon when I was a kid, and loved seeing them transform into their secret earth identities. My kid loves the movies and also collects some of the toys, so I thought I would put together a Transformers characters list of the ones I remember from watching the cartoons as a child.

Cybertron Autobots (the good guys)

Supreme Commander Optimus Prime : He is the leader of the Autobots. He is a stern leader but he looks out for his other robots and cares for them deeply.

JetFire: he transforms into a cargo plane. He is the number two leader of the Autobots. He is very loyal and follows Optimus Primes orders to the letter. However if needs be he will do things his way.

Landmine: he transforms into a payloader. Landmine is one of the older Autobots and trained many of the younger Autobots, like Mudflap and ever the great leader Optimus Prime.

Wing Saber: has a bit of a chip on his shoulder and has a problem with authority, he fell out with Optimus Prime about the life of an astronaut.

Hot Shot: as his name might suggest, he is young and thinks he is the 'bees knees'. Always taking risks he takes great pride in being one of the fastest racers in the universe.

Red Alert: he is the head Autobot Medical Robot Doctor and head of Science too boot! A very smart Autobot and a veteran of the Cybertronian wars.

Scattershot: he is not a frontline Autobot, rather he spends his time analysing monitors and is more of a technical expert than a fighter.

Megatron/Galvatron: he is the leader of the Decepticons. He was trapped in an energon sun but was freed when the sun collapsed. He is by far the most ruthless and powerful of the decepticons and wants to transform the universe into his own likeness with the Cyber Planet Keys.

Crumplezone: he transforms into a very quick 3 wheeled dragster and is very strong in his natural robot form. He is always hanging about with his partner in crime Ransack.

Ransack: Crumplezones partner in crime, he is the brains of the two, he lacks power, speed and strength, but his mate crumplezone helps him out of sticky situations.

Thunderblast:  is a female Transformer who initially served Starscream, but turned to Megatron's side based on how hunky he was. She has a flighty, fun-loving, girlish personality, but ultimately, her only loyalty is to herself, and she will join whomever is most powerful.
